CAREGIVER PROGRAM
Welcome to the Caregiver Training Program. This program is designed to provide comprehensive training for individuals interested in becoming caregivers for the elderly, individuals with disabilities, or those in need of assistance with daily living activities. Whether you are new to caregiving or seeking to enhance your skills, this program will equip you with the knowledge and abilities necessary to provide compassionate and competent care.
Module Objectives:
- Understand the roles and responsibilities of a caregiver.
- Develop essential caregiving skills for providing physical, emotional, and social support.
- Learn about common health conditions and disabilities among care recipients.
- Gain communication and interpersonal skills for effective caregiving.
- Understand safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Foster empathy, patience, and resilience in caregiving.

- Introduction in Healthcare
- Hygiene of Patients
Vital Signs - Pressure & Tension
- Alzheimer & Dementia
- Set-up of Patients Bed
- 1-2 Months Practical Internship
Learning Style:
Full On-Site, and Blended Available.
Assignments and Exercises:
- Reading Assignments: Readings on management theories, case studies, and articles on contemporary management practices.
- Case Studies: Analyze real-world management challenges and propose solutions presented in the course lectures.
Quizzes and Assessments:
All Modules will have a quiz of multiple choice and or open answer questions linked to it. All Quizzes need to be completed with an 80% score to pass. In addition, students needs to pass practical internship with an 80% or more to be successful.

Course is in Papiamento also available in Dutch.

Minimal Education required:
MBO / Years of professional working experience can also be evaluated.
Duration of Program:
This program consists of 10 Modules, and for each student it can vary depending on the speed of each student. Considering Min 3 Months- Max 8 Months

- 64 Lecture Hours
- 96 Internship practical hours

Elderly Homes in Curacao, and in addition currently in conversation with American Caregiver Association for educational partnership.
Certification
Upon completion of the program, students will receive a Certificate of Caregiver for the Elderlies
