Program Description
This program is meant to acquaint learners with the field of project management. Learners who complete the program should be able to:
- a) Explain the meaning of project management and typical roles of people involved in a project.
b) Identify typical activities in the project life cycle.
c) Define a project, and its communication, stakeholder management and procurement plans.
d) Create a project schedule.
e) Articulate the difference between traditional and Agile Project management.
f) Apply principles of procurement, and risk management.
Module 1: Foundations of Project Management
This module addresses the meaning of project management as well as typical roles of individuals involved in a project. Students also learn about activities in the project life cycle. The module also features how to develop project priority matrices, project charters, scope statements, stakeholder management, and communication plans.
