Program Description

This program is meant to acquaint learners with the field of project management.  Learners who complete the program should be able to:

  1. a) Explain the meaning of project management and typical roles of people involved in a project.
    b) Identify typical activities in the project life cycle.
    c) Define a project, and its communication, stakeholder management and procurement plans.
    d) Create a project schedule.
    e) Articulate the difference between traditional and Agile Project management.
    f) Apply principles of procurement, and risk management.

Module 3: Procurement and Project Performance Monitoring
Students who complete this module will understand the basics of project procurement.  This involves personnel involved in the procurement process, typical processes of the procurement process, types of contracts, tools and techniques used in for procurement, request for proposals, and the bidding process.
