Program Description

This program is meant to acquaint learners with the field of project management.  Learners who complete the program should be able to:

  1. a) Explain the meaning of project management and typical roles of people involved in a project.
    b) Identify typical activities in the project life cycle.
    c) Define a project, and its communication, stakeholder management and procurement plans.
    d) Create a project schedule.
    e) Articulate the difference between traditional and Agile Project management.
    f) Apply principles of procurement, and risk management.

Module 5: Project Risk Management
This module addresses common practices in managing project risk.  This module focuses on types of risk, risk identification, risk severity assessment, risk response planning and project change control strategies. The course also addresses qualitative and quantitative risk assessment.
